Selecting a Wireless Slip Ring: What to Prepare Before Requesting a Quote

JINPAT is preparing to launch a self-developed wireless slip ring. Before requesting a configuration or quotation, buyers can help the technical review by organizing the application requirements into a short, practical brief.

1. Describe the Rotating Function

Explain what rotates, how it moves and what the interface must connect.

Include whether the motion is continuous or intermittent, the required operating speed and the equipment’s daily duty cycle. These are application requirements to submit, not specifications currently confirmed for the new product.

2. List the Required Interfaces

Provide the names and quantities of the interfaces used by the controller, sensors or other connected equipment.

Avoid treating “wireless” as a guarantee of compatibility. Ask which interfaces the released product supports and whether any additional conversion hardware is required.

3. Specify Power Separately

Record the rotating assembly’s voltage, current and power requirements.

The current announcement does not establish wireless power transfer. Confirm how the rotating side will be powered before assessing the completeness of the proposed solution.

4. Provide the Installation Conditions

A drawing or marked photograph can clarify the available space, mounting points and surrounding structure.

Also describe the actual environment. For installations exposed to humidity, cleaning processes, dust or outdoor conditions, provide the relevant requirements rather than assuming suitability from the product category.

5. Agree on Acceptance Criteria

Before purchase, define what successful integration means.

The review may need to cover communication performance, installation fit, operating conditions and the machine’s response to a lost connection. Confirm which tests and documents will support acceptance.
